Employee Spotlight: Srimathi Prasad

In our most recent employee spotlight, we are excited to recognize Srimathi Prasad, Associate Consultant! Srimathi’s dedication to helping others and providing outstanding resolutions does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate all she does. Let’s learn more about Srimathi and her experiences below!

What inspired you to pursue a career in IT and join our service desk team?

I enjoy computers, programming and troubleshooting tech issues. Earlier in my career, I was a software programmer developing applications. I had taken a break from work to raise my kids. When I decided to join the workforce again, I wanted to try IT support. While I looked for a job, Sondhi Solutions hired me, and I am having an amazing experience.

Can you describe a particularly challenging IT issue you’ve successfully resolved recently?

A few months ago, I worked on an issue requiring the addition of an option on the printer display panel. This option needed to provide the user with the ability to scan directly to a folder, instead of user going through several different steps on the printer display panel. This involved researching to understand the printer back end functions and reaching out to the printer customer support. It took some time but in the end, the option was successfully implemented with the new functionality.

What’s your favorite part about working on the service desk and assisting our clients?

I enjoy talking to people and helping them, and working in the service desk provides me that opportunity. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when I resolve the client’s everyday technical issues.

How do you stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments in IT support?

I read tech blogs/publications and listen to podcasts. Also, resolving tickets involves researching different solutions and technologies. These allow me to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.

Could you share a memorable client success story or experience that made a significant impact on you?

All of the issues I have been able to resolve are memorable in their own way and continue to shape the way I approach new problems. These experiences remind me of the impact that my work can have on others and the importance of keeping a positive and customer focused mindset.

What’s one piece of advice you would offer to clients to help them optimize their IT experience?

We are here to help out with any technical questions or issues. Please provide detailed information as much as possible when submitting the ticket. Attach screenshots of any pop-up errors or display messages that you encounter.  This will help to troubleshoot the issue.  Also, sometimes it may take a little time to solve the issue as this may require some additional research to be done.

When you’re not busy at the service desk, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love going on long walks, reading, doing sudoku and traveling with my family. I also enjoy playing Scrabble, pickleball, badminton and watching mystery shows with my children
