Sondhi Solutions among first in state to provide consulting for defense department certification

Indianapolis-based firm named registered provider organization for CMMC

INDIANAPOLIS Sondhi Solutions is one of the first firms in Indiana to offer Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) consulting. Any organization in a contract with the Department of Defense will be required to hold a CMMC by late 2025, but some contracts will require the certification as early as this year.

The CMMC Accreditation Body named Sondhi Solutions a registered provider organization (RPO), allowing it to prepare DoD contractors across the country for CMMC assessments, effective immediately. The CMMC is aimed at improving cybersecurity and protecting the national supply chain as cyberattacks become more sophisticated. In a year, the Department of Defense contracts hundreds of thousands of full-time equivalents that will now need to meet these standards.

“We continually strive to stay ahead of trends and changes in cybersecurity,” said Sondhi Solutions President Jason Johns. “We give contractors an avenue to plan their security posture now, so they’re prepared for future contracts.”

Cody Tyler, cybersecurity manager at Sondhi Solutions, is a registered practitioner through the CMMC Accreditation Body. Tyler has been trained to understand CMMC requirements and assist clients in preparing for their assessment.

“The CMMC is just one component of a well-rounded security plan,” Tyler said. “Many of the requirements for meeting CMMC standards also can elevate the organization’s overall security. We want to encourage contractors to look holistically at their approach.”

As an RPO, Sondhi Solutions must adhere to a professional code of conduct and employ staff trained in CMMC methodology. The firm can perform a readiness assessment to help contractors understand their security posture and help implement those requirements.

“As we look to the future, we’re likely to see businesses in all industries prioritizing cybersecurity standards for their contractors,” said Johns. “Security threats are becoming more sophisticated. All levels of a business—including contractors and freelancers—need to be on the same page when it comes to good cybersecurity planning.”

Registered practitioner status is valid for one year after training, ensuring consultants meet the latest standards. Contractors interested in preparing for the assessment can contact Cody Tyler at ctyler@sondhisolutions.com.
